EXPLANATION
SANCTIONS A JUDGE MAY ORDER

Intimidation

This involves any form of intentional behaviour that would cause another person of ordinary sensibilities fear of injury or harm.

It includes uttering or conveying of a threat or causing any person to receive a threat, which induces fear, anxiety or discomfort.

People who attempt to commit such act of violence; or incite; aid; abet; counsel; receive or assist another person in committing such act are also punished.
Imprisonment for 1 year or less depending on the cirmcumstances of each case; or a fine of less than ₦200,000 or both imprisonment and a fine.
